School
Buildings
The school is housed in two separate buildings in large grounds with
ample playing areas and gardens. The Upper Primary and two Lower
Primary classes are housed in the building built in 1933. It has two
quadrangles, separated by a large hall, with classrooms round the
sides.
In April 1976, a separate Infants' School was opened in the playing
fields of the then J.M.I. School. The remainder of the Lower Primary
department of the new Burnopfield Primary School is housed in this
building. It is a flat- roofed, brick building containing a large
hall and two teaching area blocks. One is a four classroom 'semi
open-plan area'. The other houses the Early Years Unit and Nursery,
which opened in September 1992.
