Meet the Year 3 teachers!
Mr Gibson
Hey, I’m Mr Gibson and I’m really excited to meet you all when you return in Year 3.
Next year, we’re going to be studying some incredibly exciting topics including broadening our scope of the world around us by investigating the history and geography of our neighbouring town Consett! As the year continues we’ll also be looking at the Roman invasion, growing various plants and flowers, putting all of our maths skills to use in solving some fiendish puzzles, and doing my favourite thing of all: writing stories!
Since we haven’t really met before, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I love watching movies and playing videogames and swimming and running and especially eating M&Ms (just the plain ones, none of those peanut monstrosities). These are all things I hope we’ll get to do in the coming year in the classroom – although I’m not sure how I’m going to sneak my PlayStation in or explain the chocolate stains on the books, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it…
I get that you might be a little nervous about coming back to school. You guys have the hardest job of all, you’re not only coming back to school after so long, but you’re going to be in a totally different key stage. I know that this might sound a little daunting, but don’t you worry. I’m going to have the classroom all ready, I’ll have my BluRay player plugged in, the music on, and I’ll be ready to give you your most exciting, funniest and (I have to put this) educational year ever.
Let me say again just how much I’m looking forward to meeting you all, and can’t wait to hear all of the stories of your (hopefully) scorching summer.
See you soon,
Mr Gibson
Mrs Gardener
Hey, I’m Mrs Gardener and I’m really excited to meet you all when you return in Year 3.
Next year, we’re going to be studying some incredibly exciting topics including broadening our scope of the world around us by investigating the history and geography of our neighbouring town Consett! As the year continues we’ll also be looking at the Roman invasion, growing various plants and flowers, putting all of our maths skills to use in solving lots of tricky problems, and using our writing skills in new and exciting ways!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have a little girl called Nancy who is three years old. When I am not in school, I like to spend time going to the park, walking my dog, Maggie, and going swimming.
It will have been a long time since most of you have been to school, but don’t worry. If you’re feeling a little nervous about coming back to school then don’t worry, that’s perfectly normal. Me and all your friends will be waiting to welcome you with a big smile.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Mrs Gardener
