Respect, Equality and Diversity

At Burnopfield Primary School, children develop their understanding of the school’s ’Respect Agenda’ where their understanding of their Rights, Rules and Responsibilities are reinforced. The ‘Respect Agenda’ is reinforced on a daily basis across school. We have a saying in school

What do we expect? Respect! All different, all equal.

Through curriculum assemblies and ‘In the News’ sessions, children know that we live in a diverse society. We have ‘Rainbow Ambassadors’ in school who promote equality and acceptance. Children have a strong sense of right and wrong and are respectful to all. We develop self regulation and maintain consistently high expectations for behaviour.

Our school anthem, So am I by Ava Max, promotes inclusion and diversity. We even featured on Capital Radio sing it in one of our music lessons!
