Additional Information

Children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have a 15 minute morning break from 10.45am until 11.am.

It would be a great help if children did not arrive at school before 8.45am due to supervision difficulties over widely spread school grounds and buildings. Parents are responsible for their own child in the yard until teachers enter the yard at 8.50am.

Taylor Shaw Primary School Meals

In order for a medical special diet to be put into place with the contractor Taylor Shaw a parent must provide a letter from a consultant or a dietitian, a letter from a G.P. is no longer sufficient evidence and cannot be accepted.

Schools should also be aware that a local arrangement between the school and the kitchen on menu changes from non NHS care plans are not allowed. A child’s food dislikes around a current menu will not be accommodated as there are always three choices available and Taylor Shaw staff cannot make a menu change for a child without a consultant or dietitians letter.

Any special diet current in place with a G.P. letter will continue to be honoured.

This item applies to all schools, including academies in the following phases:

  • Nursery
  • Primary (including infant and junior)
  • Secondary
  • Special
